A SHORT HISTORY - PAST TO PRESENT.
Mike Whitley Leathergoods was founded in 1984 as the result of a favour our founder helping a friend cope with a large number of orders he had in his leathergoods business. The company made shoulder bags, wallets, purses and the like for the local tourist market. That was in 1981. In '84 the company moved out of the area and Mike set up on his own supplying the same marketplace. The business ticked over quite nicely, and when Mike took up flying that same year he designed a compact flight case that turned into a real winner with pilots the world over. That one case led onto other aviation-related items, and led by word of mouth and recommendations ultimately to our present role.
Shoulder bags and purses have gone to make way for a service that - we believe - is in many ways unique. Working alongside companies which manufacture, supply or use hand held and portable equipment, we offer a complete package of design, prototype and manufacture to clients requirements. Our specially designed cases protect against extremes of environment, keeping equipment safe from damage, improving workplace ergonomics and enabling the equipment manufacturer to supply a complete package to their end user.

as our name might suggest, advances in materials technology have enabled us to introduce a wide range of man-made fabrics from which we will select the fabric combinations most suitable for your project.
QUALITY IN MIND.
We are a quality conscious company, and although we are not yet certificated to ISO9002 we operate all the quality systems that are required by this standard to ensure that, be your workplace be machine shop, warehouse, hospital, aircraft cockpit, police patrol, pipeline, tower or tunnel our experience and quality control ensure that your equipment, service and user manuals and calibration certificates are kept together, safe and at hand.
Many of our clients are involved in the uniformed services, either as individuals or as equipment supply officers. Over the years we have developed many designs to aid officers in their everyday work, enabling them to efficiently carry an increasing amount of documentation and tactical equipment, and our experience in this field is quite extensive.
To compliment and extend the services we make available to our clients,
in 1994, to supply an ever increasing number of enquiries, we became an agent for the maglite torch company, and we will be pleased to supply you with all your maglite requirements either from stock or on special order at no extra cost.
To further enhance our customer service, from 1st august this year we will be able to accept telephone purchases on all major credit cards.
